Our Rabbi :
Dayan Daniel Kada

Dayan Daniel Kada serves as rabbi of Holland Park Synagogue and member of the Sephardi Beth Din of London. He previously served the London Spanish and Portuguese communities of Wembley and Lauderdale Road for almost 10 years. 

Having studied for 10 years in Gateshead, Mir and in the Kolel of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu Z’L where he obtained his Semicha in conjunction with the Israeli Chief Rabbinate, Dayan Kada recently completed a Dayanut qualification through the Eretz Hemdah Institute of Jerusalem and Montefiore Endowment. Dayan Kada also read law at King’s College London as a Dickson Poon scholar, graduating with First-Class Honours and winning the Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner Law Prize for highest achiever in Insurance Law. He is a sought-after lecturer in Halacha and Jewish philosophy.

Tamar Kada

Tamar Kada is the Rabbanit of Holland Park Synagogue. Having spent over ten years as Rabbanit in variuos communities, she is well known for her warm, caring and nurturing character. 

As well as her work for HPS, Tamar has been working as SENCO (Special Education Needs Coordinator) for over ten years and is currently SENCO at Torah Vodaas Primary School. She holds a Masters in Dyslexia Management from the University of London.

Most importantly, Tamar is the devoted mother of four beautiful children, Ayala, Sarah, Shira and Chaim. She loves walking in nature and spending time with her family, Please feel free to get in touch with Tamar!

Strengthening the community

Dayan Daniel Kada studied at Gateshead, Mir and Ner Leelef where he received his Semicha. He then went on to receive his Dayanut with the Eretz Hemdah Institute of Jerusalem and the Montefiore Endowment where he was the first successful student and graduated with a distinction. 

After moving to Israel, he established a Sephardi congregation in Raanana. He acted as spiritual leader, Baal Koreh and Hazan. He also set up an after-school Talmud Torah which was very well attended. In addition to this he tutored boys for their Barmitzvah and gave general Limmudei Kodesh lessons.

Rabbi Lavi received his Smicha in Israel by the Dayan of the Beth Din of Bnei Brak.

Rabbi Lavi is wonderfully assisted by his devoted wife, D’vora. They have four children: Simone, Dov, Raphael and Sheerelle and a number of grandchildren.
